Dr. Najma Heptulla
Dr. Najma Heptulla, Hon’ble Union Minister for Minority Affairs, Government of India, is a veteran Indian politician. She is the grand-niece of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, a prominent Indian freedom fighter, a strong proponent of united India, and its first Minister of Education after Independence. Dr. Heptulla was also the Deputy Chairperson of the Rajya Sabha from January 1985 to January 1986 and from 1988 to July 2004. She was nominated to head the Indian Council of Cultural Affairs. She also presided over the women parliamentarians’ group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in 1993 and became founder president of the parliamentarians’ forum for human development in the same year. She was also elected as President of Inter-Parliamentary Union. She was also nominated by the United Nations Development Programme as its human development ambassador.

Dr. Anil Kohli
Honorary Brigadier Dr. Anil Kohli’s name in the dental coliseum is synonymous with success. Dr. Kohli has been the recipient of innumerable accolades, awards and honors during his career. His professional account is self-inspiring and starts from the gates of King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, from where he graduated in 1976 and then went on to obtain a post graduate degree in the specialty of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. He obtained a ‘Gold Medal’ for being the Best House Surgeon there. For his exceptional and distinguished services, he was conferred the exalted ‘Padma Shree’ in 1992 and ‘Padma Bhushan’ later in 2005. He is the first ever dental surgeon in the country to have received the nations’ highest civilian award, the PADMA award ‘twice’. He is also the recipient of the ‘Dr. B.C. Roy Award’ in 2005, the most prestigious award in the field of medicine in India. Amongst the key positions, Dr. Kohli had been the President of Dental Council of India for a period of 5 years from the year 2004-09. He was also the Chairman of the Indian Endodontics Society and Dental Surgeon to the Prime Minister of India. He was also the Member of ‘National Academy of Medical Sciences’ and the Chairman of ‘Commission for Education, Asia-Pacific and Commonwealth’.
Dr. Girdhar Gyani
Dr. Girdhar Gyani, has recently taken over as Director General, Association of Healthcare Providers (India). From 2003-12, Dr. Gyani was Secretary General, Quality Council of India, an apex national body responsible for establishing and operating national accreditation structure and promoting quality in all walks of life. Dr. Gyani had been instrumental in formulating and operating the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) for the first time in the country. He was Principal Coordinator in developing accreditation standards and getting it accredited by the International Society for Quality in Health Care. As a result, the hospitals accredited by NABH, have global recognition, which has given boost to medical tourism in the country. Dr. Gyani functioned as founder CEO of NABH till he superannuated in July 2012 and has been retained as member of its Governing Board. In 2002, Dr. Gyani was awarded the 16th Lal C. Verman Award in recognition of his distinguished contribution in the field of standardization, precision measurement & quality control. He was also the recipient of Rotary Centenary Award in 2004 for Excellence in the field of Quality.
Prof. Sukhadeo Thorat
Prof. Sukhadeo Thorat is the present Chairman of Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). Prior to joining ICSSR, he served as the Chairman of UGC from 2006 to 2011. He is also a faculty member of Jawaharlal Nehru University since 1980 and has been a visiting faculty at Department of Economics, Iowa State University, AMES, USA. He has also served as founding Director, Indian Institute of Dalit Studies. Prof. Thorat’s areas of research include Agricultural Development, Rural Poverty, Institution and Economic Growth, Problems of Marginalized Groups, Economics of Caste System, Caste Discrimination and Poverty, Human Development and Human Rights Issue. Prof. Thorat has published 21 books and has published and presented 81 papers in various national and international journals. He received the much coveted Padamshree award from the Government of India in 2008 and has been awarded Vidyalankara (Lifetime Achievement Award) by Purbanchal Academy of Oriental Studies in association with Ministry of HRD, Government of India in 2008.
Dr. Sudha Yadav
Dr. Sudha Yadav is a former member of parliament. She was a member of the 13th Lok Sabha from 1999 to 2004, elected from Mahendragarh in Haryana as a candidate of BJP. She was a member of the Joint Parliamentary Committee set up to probe soft drinks issue. She is currently the National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Dr. Bhalchandra Mungekar

Justice J.D. Kapoor (Retd.)
Justice J.D. Kapoor, one of the most prolific figures in the legal fraternity, is a Former Judge of Delhi High Court and Former President of Delhi State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. Justice Kapoor has vast judicial experience of more than 40 years as Judge of the District Court and High Court and has held important positions as Matrimonial Judge, Special Judge Dowry Death Cases, Delhi Rent Control Tribunal and Secretary, Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. As a High Court Judge he earned great reputation of expeditious disposal of cases and delivering path-breaking, innovative judgments in every branch of law, be it criminal, civil, family laws, Intellectual Property Rights, Arbitration Law, Company law, Corporate law, Consumer law etc. There are record 13,000 judgments delivered by him through which Justice Kapoor has earned the reputation of humanizing the criminal law upholding right of life and liberty and against the abuse or misuse of dowry laws. Dr. R K Bali
Dr. R K Bali is an eminent dental surgeon, a great visionary and an academician beyond compare. Dr. Bali is the honorary Dental Surgeon to the President of India for the past 20 years and had been holding the post of the President of the Dental Council of India for 12-1/2 years. He is also honorary Dental Surgeon to the Vice President of India and has been Dental Advisor to the Armed Forces and Medical Services. Smt. Chandresh K. Katoch
Chandresh Kumari Katoch is senior politician belonging to the Indian National Congress party. She is a former Minister of Culture, Government of India. She was a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha representing Jodhpur constituency. Smt. Katoch was sworn in as Cabinet Minister in the Government of India on October 28, 2012, and was given the portfolio of the Ministry of Culture. Prof. D.K. Vaid
Prof. D.K. Vaid, presently Head (Coordination) and Dean, of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). NCERT is an autonomous organization set up in 1961 by the Government of India to assist and advise the Central and State Governments on policies and programmes for qualitative improvement in school education. In addition to research, development, training, extension, publication and dissemination activities, the NCERT is an implementation agency for bilateral cultural exchange programmes with other countries in the field of school education.
Shri Anand Kumar
Shri Anand Kumar is an Indian mathematician and a columnist for various national and international mathematical journals and magazines. He is best known for his Super 30 programme, which he started in Patna, Bihar in 2002, and which coaches economically backward students for the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Mr. Kumar is in the Limca Book of Records (2009) for his contribution in helping poor students crack IIT-JEE by providing them free coaching. Time Magazine has selected mathematician Anand Kumar’s school – Super 30 – in the list of Best of Asia 2010. Anand Kumar was awarded with the S. Ramanujan Award for 2010 by the Institute for Research and Documentation in Social Sciences (IRDS) in July 2010. Super 30 received praise from United States President Barack Obama’s special envoy Rashad Hussain, who termed it the best institute in the country. Newsweek Magazine has taken note of the initiative of mathematician Anand Kumar’s Super 30 and included his school in the list of four most innovative schools in the world. Anand Kumar has been awarded by top award of Bihar government “Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad Shiksha Puraskar” November 2010. He was awarded the Prof Yashwantrao Kelkar Yuva Puraskar 2010 by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in Bangalore. In April 2011, Mr. Kumar was selected by Europe’s magazine Focus as “one of the global personalities who have the ability to shape exceptionally talented people. Mr. Anand Kumar has been selected by UK based magazine Monocle among the list of 20 pioneering teachers of the world. He was also honoured by government of British Columbia, Canada amongst many other prestigious awards.
Dr. O.P. Kharbanda
Dr. O.P. Kharbanda is Professor and Head, Division of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Deformities, Center for Dental Education and Research, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Dr. Kharbanda has more than 30 years of experience in teaching and has been associated with the Department of Orthodontics, AIIMS, since the inception of its programme in 1986 and since then he had supervised more than 70 theses at AIIMS and also at University of Sydney where he served from 2000-2003. He is a visiting professor to University of Sydney and University of Western Australia, Perth, Australia. His book entitled ‘Orthodontics: Diagnosis and Management of Malocclusion and Dentofacial Deformities’ (Elsevier 2013) is well read across countries. Dr. Kharbanda has authored/co-authored more than 110 papers/case reports/ book chapters in peer reviewed international and national journals. He is past president of the Indian Orthodontic society and Indian Association of Cleft lip, palate and Craniofacial Anomalies. He has been accorded with many prestigious national and international awards for research and service. He co-chaired the 8th Asian Pacific Orthodontic Conference 2012 and was the Vice President of Indian Society of Dental Research for the period 2009-13. He in on board of technical organizations such as Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Biotechnology, and Ministry of Health Govt. of India in various capacities.
